This Privacy Policy applies to the Android app "산도장 (Sandojang)" published on Google Play by the developer 복군.
본 개인정보처리방침은 개발자 '복군'이 Google Play에 게시한 안드로이드 앱 '산도장'에 적용됩니다.

1. English Version

Introduction

Sandojang ("we," "our," or "the App") is an Android app for collecting stamps of Korean mountain peaks. The App has no account or login and does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

Location Permission — Why We Need It

The App requests precise location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) permission for the following purposes:

• Showing mountains near you on the home screen
• Recording your route, distance, and elevation gain during a workout session
• Automatically verifying that you reached a summit (a stamp is granted when you enter the radius of a registered peak)
• Displaying your current National Point Number (국가지점번호) for emergency (119) reporting

Location is collected only while a workout session is running, using a foreground service with a persistent notification. The App does not request background location permission (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION) and does not track you when no session is active.

The App also requests physical activity (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION) permission to count steps during a session, and notification (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) permission to show the session notification and summit alerts. Both are optional; the App works without them, with reduced functionality.

Information Stored On Your Device Only

The following is stored in a local database on your device and is never transmitted to the developer:

• Location & routes: GPS coordinates, altitude, and accuracy recorded during workout sessions
• Workout records: distance, duration, elevation gain, step count
• Stamps: which peaks you reached and when
• Photos: photos you attach to a record or a stamp are copied into the App's private storage
• Settings: theme, GPX auto-save preference
• Mountain data: the mountain/peak catalog is bundled with the App (Korea Forest Service public data)

Files Saved To Your Device Storage

When "GPX auto-save" is enabled (default: on), the App writes a GPX track file to Download/sandojang on your device after each workout, so that you can back up or move your records to other apps. These files are created on your device only and are not uploaded anywhere. You can turn this off at any time in the App's settings.

Photos

The App lets you attach photos to your records. Photos are chosen through the Android Photo Picker, which grants access only to the photos you select — the App does not request permission to read your entire photo library. Selected photos are resized and copied into the App's private storage, and are deleted when you delete them in the App or uninstall the App.

Network Use

The App connects to the internet only for:

• Downloading map data from GitHub, at your request — a nationwide base map (about 35 MB) offered on first launch, and optional regional packs you choose later. The App does not stream map tiles from any online tile server; maps are rendered from the files stored on your device.
• Advertising and analytics (see below)

Your location, routes, and records are not included in any of these requests.

Information Collected by Third-Party Services

• Usage Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase): Collects an app instance ID and usage events such as screen views, catalog searches, workout start/finish, and stamp acquisition. Coordinates, routes, and mountain names are never included in analytics events — only non-identifying values such as grade, counts, workout summaries (step count, duration, distance bucket), app diagnostics (battery used during a workout, average GPS accuracy, number of recorded points, data-loading time), and failure diagnostics (which feature failed and what kind of failure it was). The workout summaries are health and fitness data, declared as Health and fitness / Fitness info; the diagnostics are declared as App info and performance / Diagnostics in the app's Google Play Data safety section. Diagnostics tell us whether long recordings are being killed by the system and how much battery a hike costs — they contain accuracy and battery figures only, never coordinates. All of it is used solely to improve the App and is not sold or shared with third parties, nor used for ad targeting.
• Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics): Collects crash stack traces and device model/OS version to diagnose failures, along with context such as whether a workout was running and how many stamps and records have been collected so far. This also covers failures that do not crash the app, such as a hike record or map pack failing to save — a recording can be cut short while the app stays alive, so crashes alone would never reveal the cause. Coordinates, routes, and mountain names are never included in crash reports either.
• Advertising (Google AdMob): The App shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID and approximate location (derived from your IP address) to serve and measure ads. The precise location collected by the App is not shared with the ad service.

Third-Party Services & International Transfer

Data collected by the following Google services is processed by Google LLC (located in the United States) under its own privacy policy:

• Google AdMob — ad serving
• Google Analytics for Firebase / Crashlytics — usage statistics and crash reports

Offline map packs are downloaded from GitHub (GitHub, Inc.). No personal data is sent in these requests.

We do not sell or share your information with any other third parties.

Data Retention

Records stored on your device remain until you delete them in the App or uninstall the App. GPX files saved to Download/sandojang remain until you delete them yourself. Analytics and crash data are retained according to Google's data retention policy.

Your Choices

• Revoke location or activity permission at any time: Device Settings → Apps → 산도장 → Permissions
• Turn off GPX auto-save in the App: 나 → GPX 자동 저장
• Delete individual records, stamps, and photos inside the App
• Reset or delete your advertising ID: Device Settings → Google → Ads
• Request deletion of collected analytics data by contacting us below

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

개요

산도장(이하 "앱")은 전국의 산과 봉우리를 도장으로 모으는 등산 도감 앱입니다. 본 앱은 회원가입·로그인 기능이 없으며, 이름·이메일·전화번호 등 사용자를 직접 식별하는 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다.

위치 권한을 사용하는 이유

본 앱은 다음 목적으로 정확한 위치(ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) 권한을 요청합니다.

• 홈 화면에 내 주변의 산을 가까운 순으로 보여주기
• 운동 중 경로·거리·누적 상승을 기록하기
• 정상 자동 인증 — 등록된 봉우리 반경 안에 들어오면 도장을 부여
• 조난 시 119 신고에 쓰는 국가지점번호 실시간 표시

위치는 사용자가 "운동 시작"을 누른 세션 동안에만 수집되며, 상단에 고정 알림이 표시되는 포그라운드 서비스로 동작합니다. 본 앱은 백그라운드 위치 권한(ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION)을 요청하지 않으며, 운동 중이 아닐 때는 위치를 추적하지 않습니다.

이 밖에 세션 중 걸음 수를 세기 위한 신체 활동(ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION) 권한과, 운동 알림·도장 획득 알림을 위한 알림(POST_NOTIFICATIONS) 권한을 요청합니다. 두 권한은 선택 사항이며, 허용하지 않아도 해당 기능만 제한된 채 앱을 사용할 수 있습니다.

기기 내부에만 저장되는 정보

아래 정보는 기기 내부 데이터베이스에만 저장되며 개발자에게 전송되지 않습니다. 개발자는 별도의 서버를 운영하지 않습니다.

• 위치 및 경로: 운동 중 기록된 GPS 좌표·고도·측위 정확도
• 운동 기록: 거리, 소요 시간, 누적 상승, 걸음 수
• 도장: 어느 봉우리에 언제 올랐는지
• 사진: 기록이나 도장에 첨부한 사진(앱 전용 저장소에 복사되어 보관)
• 설정: 화면 테마, GPX 자동 저장 여부
• 산·봉우리 데이터: 도감 데이터는 앱에 내장되어 있습니다(산림청 공공데이터)

기기 저장소에 만들어지는 파일

"GPX 자동 저장"이 켜져 있으면(기본값: 켜짐) 운동을 끝낼 때마다 기기의 다운로드/sandojang 폴더에 GPX 경로 파일이 저장됩니다. 이는 사용자가 자신의 기록을 백업하거나 다른 앱으로 옮길 수 있도록 하기 위한 것으로, 기기 안에만 만들어지며 어디에도 업로드되지 않습니다. 앱의 '나' 화면에서 언제든지 끌 수 있습니다.

사진

본 앱은 기록에 사진을 첨부할 수 있습니다. 사진은 Android 사진 선택 도구(Photo Picker)를 통해 고르며, 이 방식은 사용자가 선택한 사진에만 접근합니다 — 앱은 사진첩 전체를 읽는 권한을 요청하지 않습니다. 선택한 사진은 크기를 줄여 앱 전용 저장소에 복사되며, 앱에서 삭제하거나 앱을 제거하면 함께 삭제됩니다.

네트워크 사용

본 앱은 다음 경우에만 인터넷에 연결합니다.

• 사용자가 요청한 경우에 한해 GitHub에서 지도 데이터 내려받기 — 첫 실행에 안내되는 전국 기본 지도(약 35 MB)와, 이후 직접 고르는 지역별 지도 팩입니다. 본 앱은 온라인 지도 타일 서버에서 지도를 실시간으로 받아오지 않으며, 기기에 저장된 파일로 지도를 그립니다.
• 광고 및 이용 통계(아래 참조)

이 요청들에는 사용자의 위치·경로·기록이 포함되지 않습니다.

제3자 서비스를 통해 수집되는 정보

• 사용 통계 (Google Analytics for Firebase): 앱 인스턴스 ID와 화면 조회, 도감 검색, 운동 시작·종료, 도장 획득 등의 이용 이벤트가 수집됩니다. 좌표·경로·산 이름은 통계 이벤트에 담지 않습니다 — 등급, 개수, 운동 요약값(걸음 수·소요 시간·거리 구간), 앱 진단값(운동 중 배터리 소모율·평균 GPS 정확도·기록된 좌표 개수·데이터 적재 시간), 실패 진단(어떤 기능에서 어떤 종류의 실패가 났는지)처럼 개인을 식별할 수 없는 값만 전송합니다. 운동 요약값은 건강·피트니스 정보에 해당하여 Google Play 데이터 보안 항목에 '건강 및 피트니스 → 피트니스 정보'로, 진단값은 '앱 정보 및 성능 → 진단'으로 신고되어 있습니다. 진단값은 긴 기록이 시스템에 의해 중단되지는 않는지, 등산 한 번에 배터리가 얼마나 드는지를 파악하기 위한 것으로, 정확도와 배터리의 '수치'만 담기며 좌표는 담기지 않습니다. 모두 앱 개선 목적으로만 사용하고 제3자에게 판매·공유하거나 광고 타겟팅에 이용하지 않습니다.
• 오류 보고 (Firebase Crashlytics): 앱이 비정상 종료될 때, 그리고 앱이 종료되지는 않았지만 기록 저장·지도 내려받기 등이 실패했을 때 원인을 파악하기 위해 오류 스택 정보와 기기 모델·OS 버전, 그리고 운동 중이었는지 여부와 지금까지 모은 도장·기록의 개수 등 맥락 정보가 수집됩니다. 등산 기록이 중간에 끊기는 문제는 앱이 죽지 않은 채로도 생기기 때문에, 비정상 종료만으로는 원인을 찾을 수 없어 이렇게 하고 있습니다. 좌표·경로·산 이름은 오류 보고에도 담기지 않습니다.
• 광고 (Google AdMob): 앱은 Google AdMob 광고를 표시하며, 광고 송출 및 성과 측정을 위해 기기의 광고 ID(ADID)와 대략적인 위치(IP 주소 기반)가 사용될 수 있습니다. 앱이 수집한 정확한 위치는 광고 서비스에 제공되지 않습니다.

제3자 서비스 및 국외 이전

아래 Google 서비스를 통해 수집된 정보는 Google LLC(미국 소재)가 운영하는 서버에서 처리·보관될 수 있습니다.

• Google AdMob — 광고 송출
• Google Analytics for Firebase / Crashlytics — 이용 통계 및 오류 보고

오프라인 지도 팩은 GitHub(GitHub, Inc.)에서 내려받으며, 이 요청에는 개인정보가 포함되지 않습니다.

그 외 제3자에게 정보를 판매하거나 제공하지 않습니다.

데이터 보유 기간 및 파기

기기에 저장된 기록은 사용자가 앱에서 삭제하거나 앱을 제거할 때까지 보관됩니다. 다운로드/sandojang 폴더의 GPX 파일은 앱을 삭제해도 남으므로 필요 없으면 직접 삭제하시면 됩니다. 통계·오류 정보는 Google의 데이터 보관 정책에 따라 보관 후 자동 파기됩니다.

이용자의 권리

• 위치·신체 활동 권한 철회: 기기 설정 → 애플리케이션 → 산도장 → 권한
• GPX 자동 저장 끄기: 앱의 '나' 화면 → GPX 자동 저장
• 개별 기록·도장·사진 삭제: 앱 안에서 직접 삭제
• 광고 식별자 재설정·삭제: 기기 설정 → Google → 광고
• 수집된 분석 데이터의 삭제 요청: 아래 문의처로 요청 시 지체 없이 처리

아동의 개인정보

본 앱은 만 14세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 아동의 개인정보를 고의로 수집하지 않습니다.
