1. English Version

Introduction

Haneul ("we," "our," or "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App uses, where it is sent, and how long it is kept. We do not operate any server of our own; the App talks directly to the weather and map services listed below.

Location

• Permission: If you allow it, the App asks Android for your approximate or precise location while you are using the App. Location is optional — you can search for a city instead. The App does not use background location.
• Sent to weather services: To get the forecast, air quality and UV index, your location coordinates (or the coordinates of the city you selected) are sent to Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com, air-quality-api.open-meteo.com).
• Neighborhood name: To show the name of your area, the coordinates are passed to Android's built-in geocoder, which may contact Google's location services depending on your device.
• Stored on your device: The last downloaded weather, together with its coordinates and place name, is cached on your device so it can be shown offline and in widgets and the status-bar notification. A city you select is also saved on your device. Cached weather older than 48 hours is removed when new weather is downloaded. Uninstalling the App deletes this data. If Android Auto Backup is on, app settings and this cache may be included in your own Google account backup.
• Not added to analytics: The App does not put your location coordinates into analytics events or crash reports.

City Search

The text you type in city search is sent to Open-Meteo Geocoding (geocoding-api.open-meteo.com), or, for Korean and other non-Latin text, to OpenStreetMap Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org), to find matching cities. We do not store your search text.

Information Collected by Google Services

• Usage Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase): The App records an app instance ID and usage events such as screen views, weather refresh (success or failure, and whether the location came from GPS or a saved city), city search (the length of the search text and the number of results, not the text itself), the name and country of the city you select from search results, yesterday–today comparison views, and temperature unit changes. When loading fails, a short technical reason (for example, a timeout) is recorded. Your search text, name, email address and location coordinates are not collected.
• Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics): If the App crashes, a report containing the device model, OS version, App version and a stack trace is sent so the problem can be fixed.
• Remote Configuration (Firebase Remote Config): The App downloads settings (for example, an update notice for a faulty version) using a Firebase installation ID.
• Advertising (Google AdMob): The App shows banner ads served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising ID to serve and measure ads. In regions where consent is required, a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) is shown first, and you can change your choice later in Settings > Privacy settings.
• In-App Review (Google Play): The App may show Google Play's rating dialog. Your rating is handled entirely by Google Play.

Data handled by Google services is processed by Google LLC (United States) under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your information.

Permissions Used

Data Retention

We do not keep any personal information on our own servers (we have none). Weather cache and settings stay on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data. Analytics and crash data are retained according to Google's data retention policies and deleted automatically afterwards. Uninstalling the App stops all further data collection.

Your Choices

• Turn location access on or off: Device Settings → Apps → 하늘 (Haneul) → Permissions
• Turn the status-bar notification on or off: App Settings → Status bar notification
• Reset or delete your advertising ID: Device Settings → Google → Ads
• Opt out of personalized ads via your device's ad personalization settings

개요

하늘 - 어제 오늘 날씨 비교(이하 "앱")는 사용자의 개인정보를 소중히 여기며, 관련 법령을 준수합니다. 본 방침은 앱이 어떤 정보를 쓰고, 어디로 보내며, 얼마나 보관하는지 설명합니다. 개발자는 자체 서버를 운영하지 않으며, 앱은 아래에 적은 날씨·지도 서비스와 직접 통신합니다.

위치 정보

• 권한: 사용자가 허용하면, 앱을 사용하는 동안 안드로이드에 대략적인 위치 또는 정확한 위치를 요청합니다. 위치 권한은 선택 사항이며, 허용하지 않아도 도시를 검색해 쓸 수 있습니다. 백그라운드 위치는 사용하지 않습니다.
• 날씨 서비스로 전송: 예보·대기질·자외선 지수를 받기 위해 현재 위치 좌표(또는 선택한 도시의 좌표)가 Open-Meteo(api.open-meteo.com, air-quality-api.open-meteo.com)로 전송됩니다.
